What BooqEra is

BooqEra is a marketplace that connects customers with independent wedding and event vendors. Vendors set their own packages, prices and availability, and provide their services directly to customers. BooqEra is not a party to the service agreement between a customer and a vendor.

Pricing and the booking fee

• Vendors pay nothing to use BooqEra. There are no subscriptions or commissions for vendors.
• Customers pay the vendor's price plus a BooqEra booking fee. The fee is always shown before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. The vendor's share is paid to the vendor; the booking fee is paid to BooqEra.
• The booking fee is based on the vendor's full price: 10% under $500 (minimum $15), 8% from $500 to $1,999.99, 6% from $2,000 to $4,999.99, and 5% from $5,000.
• Vendors may let you pay a deposit first. The full booking fee is charged with your first payment; you can pay the remaining balance later in the app with no further BooqEra fee, or directly to the vendor as you agree with them.

Requests and confirmation

A booking request is not a booking. A booking is confirmed only after the vendor accepts your request and your payment succeeds. Accepted requests are held for a limited time while you complete payment.

Cancellations and refunds

• If the vendor cancels a confirmed booking, you receive a full refund, including the booking fee.
• If you cancel, refunds of the vendor's price follow the vendor's cancellation terms shown on their page or agreed with you in writing.
• The booking fee is non-refundable when a customer cancels, unless the vendor cancels or the law requires otherwise.
• If a payment completes after your date hold has ended and the date is no longer available, it is refunded in full automatically.
• Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.

Disputes

If something goes wrong with a booking, contact the vendor first. If you can't resolve it, contact BooqEra and we will help review the booking and payment records.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or illegal activity. You can delete your account at any time in the iPhone app.

Liability

Vendors are responsible for the services they provide. To the extent permitted by law, BooqEra is not liable for the quality, safety or delivery of vendor services, and our total liability for any booking is limited to the booking fee you paid for it.
